Holistic Massage Therapist

What does "holistic" massage mean?
Holistic massage treats your mind and body as one entity, understanding how our lives impact our body, and vice versa.
In my massage I consider how your lifestyle has affected your body, such as holding stress. I also treat the whole body - for example, if you are experiencing shoulder pain, I work not just the specific spot, but the whole shoulder, down the arm and out through the hand. It is the understanding all our muscles are connected and have a ripple effect on each other.
Holistic treatments aim to make you feel not just physically better, but mentally and spiritually too.
What should I expect when I visit?
There is on-site parking just outside the Ninety One studio. You can then walk straight into the Reception area and get comfy. I'll then come to greet you and show you to the massage room. There is also an onsite toilet if you need. We'll first have a chat about your consultation form, massage preferences and your lifestyle to tailor the massage to you. I then like to begin all my massages with some grounding, to deepen the breath and begin relaxation, before some gentle stretches and holds.

Please also note that as the studio is shared by many Beauty & Wellness practitioners, you can expect to hear people moving about or talking occasionally in the corridor.
What do I need to wear?
Wear something comfy and loose fitting clothes so you can feel relaxed and can get changed easily.
How often should I get a massage?
Fit massage around your life so it works for you - this is different for everyone! You can have a "maintenance" massage as part of your monthly routine, or every few months to dedicate yourself some time throughout the year. Sometimes life gets in the way, so don't worry if you miss a month or 2 or 3 - return when you are ready! :)
